About The Position

Xplor Pay is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join their dynamic team and drive the evolution of design practices, adopting AI tooling, rapid prototyping, and democratizing design across cross-functional teams. Xplor Pay develops innovative embedded payment solutions for Vertical SaaS platforms, aiming to simplify payments and streamline financial transactions for businesses and consumers. As the Lead Product Designer, you will work closely with the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and cross-functional teams to shape the user experience of their payment solutions, taking ownership of design initiatives and contributing to the vision of transforming the payment industry.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX Design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful UX/UI solutions for complex web and mobile applications.
• Experience in a Lead or Senior role is highly preferred.
• Mastery of design tools such as Figma (our primary tool) and Design Thinking.
• Proficient in creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, research questions, and user surveys.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, information architecture, design systems, and interaction design patterns.
• Experience conducting and synthesizing user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys) to inform design decisions.
• Solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers about technical constraints and opportunities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to break down complex problems into manageable, actionable design solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to autonomously lead design initiatives, influence stakeholders, and mentor team members.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) and using data to inform design decisions.
• Familiarity with the use of AI in design, research, and copy (e.g., Co-pilot, Figma Make, Miro AI).
• Proficiency in front-end coding (e.g., HTML, CSS) for prototyping or component development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design strategy for Xplor Pay, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
• Collaborate with the CPO and cross-functional teams to define product vision and design direction.
• Integrate AI-powered prototyping tools and methodologies into the product design lifecycle, driving efficiency and innovation in user experience solutions.
• Engage across the entire design process, from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and integrate user feedback into design iterations.
• Communicate design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders effectively.
