Your role: As Ingram Micro’s first and senior-most UX Content Designer, you’ll set the content strategy, governance, and patterns that power clear, consistent language across our global, multi-sided Ingram Micro Xvantage™ platform. You’ll partner with Product Design, Product Management, Data Science, Engineering, UX Research, Legal/Compliance, and Localization to deliver content systems that improve user outcomes and business performance at scale. As the owner of UX Content Design across all our initiatives, you are an expert at creating scalable systems, style guides, and frameworks that can be successfully leveraged across many different user types, platforms, and use cases. You are a skilled influencer and evangelizer who excels at educating partner teams and building organization-wide enthusiasm for clear, consistent language. You are a self-starter with relentlessly high standards. You are highly collaborative, a strong advocate for the end user, and gifted at creating simple, elegant solutions to complex and ambiguous problem spaces. We are specifically looking for Content Designers who will be able to operate as a thought leader in the AI space – someone with experience and expertise designing prompts/systems, evaluations sets, training samples, and safety guardrails for LLM and AI-powered features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree related to design, in UX, Interaction Design, English, Writing, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of UX Content Design/UX Writing experience.
  • Proven ability to translate business and user problems into understandable solutions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design skills, trends, and disciplines as well as high attention to detail
  • Expert knowledge of design tools like Figma and ability to work across multiple levels of fidelity.
  • Expert knowledge of Agentic AI and training LLMs.
  • Experience working with Agile and/or Lean UX environments.
  • Strong business acumen with well-rounded presentation skills and verbal and written communication
  • Strong portfolio displaying world-class content design work showing how you were able to create clarity where there was ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and define Content Design standards, style guides, and best practices across all our platforms, including all AI agents and tools.
  • Present and defend your strategies and solutions in front of executives.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusivity (plain language, WCAG-aligned writing) and localization quality at scale.
  • Interview high-profile customers as well as end users to identify critical business drivers and needs.
  • Lead end-to-end content design for major releases and create amazing experiences that delight customers.
  • Champion user-focused strategic direction with cross-functional partners and leadership
  • Rapidly visualize, prototype, explore multiple product directions and validate hypotheses - understanding the business and technical impact of your directions.
  • Apply your deep understanding of UX content design best practices to drive innovation in our products.
  • Coach and mentor designers on the team and provide creative/product direction.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Engineering, Business, and Marketing to deliver a cohesive experience across all channels.
  • Contribute to building out practices and culture across the design organization.
