Requirements

  • Must be experienced in vehicle-wide electrical and electronic architecture
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering required- Masters preferred.
  • Relevant experience range is 5-7+ years with 2-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in power management, energy budgeting, and consumption analysis
  • Skilled in electrical design and integration for robotic arm systems
  • Strong knowledge of harness design and sensor integration
  • Experienced in HMI, remote-control, and vehicle system integration
  • Proficient in electrical BOM tracking and part release processes
  • Must demonstrate manufacturing- and service-friendly design practices
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety, redundancy, and compliance
  • Must be able to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional team

Nice To Haves

  • Masters preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end-to-end electrical architecture, including power distribution, compute platforms, networking, redundancy, and fault tolerance.
  • Lead integration strategy for sensors, computing units, actuators, and communication systems.
  • Establish electrical safety, reliability, and functional safety concepts in partnership with software and safety teams.
  • Set standards for schematics, harnessing, grounding, EMC/EMI compliance, and electrical documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership in supplier selection, design reviews, and make/buy decisions.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for electrical tradeoffs affecting cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Support vehicle testing, durability testing, subsystem testing.
  • Follow/comply with the AMG Production System Process Cycle
