Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Our Cardiovascular team develops leading solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke, continually elevating standards of care for stroke, heart failure and atrial fibrillation (AFib) patients. This is a remote role available in all states/cities within the United States. Abiomed is seeking a Lead Pricing Analyst. This role plays a crucial part in Abiomed's global commercial strategy, contributing valuable insights into the creation of pricing strategies. The Lead Pricing Analyst will interact closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Contracting, and other partners such as Legal, Health Care Compliance, Government Compliance, etc. to develop pricing strategies that serve our customers and uphold our business objectives. This role will identify and implement strategic processes and initiatives that leverage customer and competitor insights, sales report analyses, and key performance indicators to inform on key business decisions regarding sales plans and go-to-market models.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • At least 4 years of work experience is required.
  • Experience gathering and translating data into strategies and solutions.
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, and/or contract management systems.
  • Motivated and analytical problem solver who can effectively analyze competitive landscapes, economic objectives, and customer preferences to inform strategic decision-making and implementation.
  • High Proficiency in MS Excel with experience extracting significant detailed data sets from various sources, concatenating, analyzing, and reporting out via dashboard summaries.
  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills, with experience analyzing sophisticated data and providing data driven solutions in a timely manner.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment and gain support from a wide range of collaborators is required.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and managing multiple concurrent deliverables for different end users is required.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • A concentration in Finance, Business, Accounting, Marketing, or Data Analytics is preferred.
  • At least 4 years in Pricing, Finance, Operations, Sales Effectiveness, Data Analytics, or another related field preferred.
  • Experience working in Healthcare or Life Sciences.
  • Experience in customer price benchmarking.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of global pricing and contracting strategy development for J&J Heart Recovery products.
  • Synthesize customer, industry, and competitive insights and intelligence to guide the creation of product and portfolio pricing/contracting approaches.
  • Develop and implement contract strategy dashboards tracking pricing strategies and business impact, contributing valuable insights on strategic sales & contract management.
  • Proactively conduct competitive and changing marketplace analyses to ensure the evolution of contracting approaches in the marketplace to optimize value and business results.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and key cross-functional departments to ensure the success of commercial strategies, including product launches, product development, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify areas for improvement within systems, processes, and interactions.
  • Surface and provide recommendations regularly to management to support our objective for continuous improvement.
  • Support development and maintenance of tools for insight generation, performance management, and leadership reporting.
  • Serve as SME for business partners.
  • Take an active role in developing and improving training materials and SOPs.
