Service Division To whom does the employee report? Currently will report to Owner or Production Manager. What is the importance of this division in the company activity and what will be its relative importance within the next 3 to 5 years? The position is of extreme importance, this position is responsible for our company main deliverable. Works with our company crew members and directly with our clients. Over the next 3-5 years our company is gearing up for fast, profitable and managed growth. Other positions will be available with our growth. Field work requires dealing with weather related issues that needs assessment and sound decisions to make the work safe and successful. Our company also uses high water pressure and chemicals which can present danger if not used properly. What products/services are directly or indirectly handled on the job? SoftWash & Power wash of exterior homes & commercial properties. Typically cleaning of siding, roofs, windows, patios, decks, fences, driveways, etc. What is the targeted market for these products/services? Our target residential market are homes in the 300k and higher within a 30-mile radius of Naperville. We also target HOA & Commercial properties which may have anywhere from a few buildings to as many as 50 buildings. What is the purpose of the job – how does it contribute to the purposes of the company? The purpose of the company is to clean residential and commercial property the “Right Way”. The job creates immediate, long lasting and noticeably improved results for our clients. What are the precise performance/results expectations? The goal for a Lead Engineer in Residential Service is to achieve between 250k-300k sales per truck per year. This equates to each truck of 7,500 per week of revenue. How are those result expectations monitored and measured? We use a dedicated software program throughout our company, and it tracks the sales per truck and team. Every person on staff, including engineers have access to the system as well as on their mobile device. Additional upgrade sales can also be tracked and measured. What are the precise tasks, duties and responsibilities of the job? Oversee the care and maintenance of your truck. Maintain soft washing equipment assuring it is ready daily to perform production. Make sure the truck is stocked adequately daily with consumables to perform production. Complete your daily production schedule. Complete production without damaging customers property. Complete each day’s production in accordance with the US Clean Water Act. Complete each day’s production in accordance with your OSHA safety training. Keep all safety equipment maintained and stocked on the service truck. Greet the customers and courteously walk them through the jobs scope of work. Manage the assistant technician that has been assigned to you. Drive safely obeying all road rules and being courteous to other drivers on the road. Make sure all manuals, operations, employee and health & safety are on-board your truck. Make sure all SDS sheets as well as spill contingencies and kits are on-board your truck. Assure that the assistant tech is doing the marketing responsibilities for the truck. Produce $7,500.00 of clean without blemish production weekly. What are the required technical competencies? There are no required technical competencies, but safety is of the most importance to our team and to our clients and their properties. What is the desired or required experience? No experience is necessary, for we have a mandatory video training program that everyone on the team reviews prior to working in the position. Prior positions such as a painter, window washer, electrical or plumber journeyman, construction worker, roofer, pest control, landscaping, etc. It is a field job and requires using your body every day, so must be in good physical condition. Need the ability to move light objects, lift and climb ladders, pull chemical and water hoses. How important is teamwork and coordination of efforts? As a lead engineer teamwork is very important because you will project managing every day and working with at least one person on your truck every day. Larger commercial projects will require that multiple crews need to work together. Typically, there are larger challenges and tighter schedules that need to be met. What are the planned salary and other compensations? Starting wages for Lead Engineer Apprentice is 15.00 - 18.50 per hour. As a Lead Engineer you can expect to earn around 20.00 - 40.00 per hour with bonus plan Possible winter work available in sunny states during the winter if willing to travel. What training program is planned for fast results achievement? Currently there are mandatory training videos that need to be watched prior to starting the job. This position starts out as an assistant engineer, working for an existing lead engineer in a truck until enough experience and expertise is achieved in order to run your own truck and crew. What kind of performance appraisal is planned on the job? We don’t have a formal performance appraisal job at this point. It is up to the Lead Engineer to judge the ability of the Assistant Engineer and help them climb the ladder of becoming a lead engineer. Does this job present career development opportunities?
