About The Position

Peak Performance Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and motivated Lead Physical Therapy Technician to support our team of licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will assist with various non-clinical tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the therapy sessions and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand in place, walk, twist (knees/waist/neck), climb, push/pull and lift objects of various weights of up to 50 pounds.
  • Stamina to meet the physical demands of a busy clinical environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Kinesiology Background/Personal Training/Athletic Training background is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a physical therapy setting.
  • CPR knowledge but certificate not required.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Assistance: Assist patients in performing prescribed therapeutic exercises under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Guide and support patients during exercises and activities to ensure proper form and technique.
  • Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Prepare treatment areas by setting up necessary equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition. Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment areas after each use.
  • Administrative Support: Perform non-clinical tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling routine administrative duties on occasion. Greet patients, provide information, and assist with completing necessary forms.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Relay information about patient progress and concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe and report any changes in patient condition or response to exercises to the supervising therapist. Document patient interactions and interventions accurately.
  • Compliance: Adhere to healthcare regulations and organizational policies, including patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
  • As a Lead Physical Therapy Technician, you will have oversight of other Technician’s in the clinic, which may include you providing training of new hires and working the Tech schedule for your respective clinic.
