About The Position

Job Summary Lead Phlebotomist Location: Greenville Outpatient Clinic (GOPC), Greenville, SC, and Columbia VA Healthcare System (CVAHCS), Columbia, SC Contract Period: Base Year + Four Option Years Schedule: Various shifts, including weekends and holidays Hourly: 27.50/hr plus 4.93 for Health and Wellness Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the work of phlebotomists at assigned locations. Ensure staff compliance with VA policies, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures. Train new staff and provide continuing education for existing personnel. Monitor workload distribution, performance metrics, and reporting. Handle complex or difficult phlebotomy procedures and troubleshoot specimen collection issues. Assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels and scheduling coverage. Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in training or supervising phlebotomy staff.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Compliance with all phlebotomist qualification requirements.
