Lead Pharmacy Technician - Long Term Care
About The Position

The Lead Pharmacy Technician I supports daily pharmacy operations by overseeing technician workflow and ensuring timely medication dispatch. This role focuses on promoting efficiency, accuracy, and a positive team environment, including assisting with training and onboarding, and fostering a collaborative and professional work setting. Lead technicians are expected to lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Ability to stand for a full shift with intermittent breaks
Nice To Haves
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Pharmacy experience
Responsibilities
- Proper dispensing of medication
- Enters medication orders into the pharmacy computer system
- Maintains logs, records and other required documentation, files documentation
- Assist with inventory control including checking stock for expiration dates and ordering as needed
- Operates unit dose packaging equipment such as the MTS-350
- Assist in the training of other Pharmacy Technicians
- Assists in developing Pharmacy procedures
- Assists department manager with performance evaluations for the pharmacy technicians
- Any other tasks as assigned to them by ops manager or PIC
