Now Hiring – Full-Time Pharmacist for our Rocky Hill, Connecticut location.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM OR 8:30AM - 5:00PM EST

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy – We provide specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. We have been providing long-term care pharmacy services since 2007, but we originated as part of our independent retail pharmacy, Tarrytown Pharmacy, which has been serving the local community since 1941. Through our dedication to provide excellence to our customers, we have grown from a small independent pharmacy to a multi-state long-term care pharmacy solution.

Requirements

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3 years preferred
• Must possess a Connecticut State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
• Order Entry experience required
• Positive personality who is able to work well within a team
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy

Nice To Haves

• Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred
• Medical Records experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the Connecticut State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive and team-oriented approach
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards
• All other duties as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge
