Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 1 year of experience OR 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of experience can be used in lieu of education, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, schedules, and optimizes the productivity of assigned patient registration staff.
  • Manages departmental resources, including staff scheduling and ordering/maintaining supplies.
  • Oversees the confirmation of insurance coverage, determining the need for, and obtaining, pre-authorizations for scheduled procedures.
  • Determines and communicates patient financial responsibility, coordinating with patients and practitioners regarding coverage and authorization status.
  • Stays current on insurance company changes and updates, ensuring staff are informed and compliant.
