About The Position

Arbour Counseling Services is excited to offer Full-Time opportunities for Master's Level or Licensed Clinicians (LICSW, LMHC) in our Partial Hospitalization Program in Haverhill, MA. Our Partial Hospitalization Programs are group-based and short-term for individuals requiring a higher level of care. Our teams work to promote a group that is therapeutic, safe, and supportive. The Lead Clinician delivers direct services to clients, and may provide individual, group, family, or other authorized therapy services; participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning; and ensures that any treatments delivered are within the scope of the therapist's training, experience and general level of competence. This Licensed Clinician will also assist in mentoring graduate-level interns and/or supervising.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or closely related Mental Health field from an accredited program is required (Counseling or Social Work preferred)
  • License eligible (LICSW/LMHC)
  • Prior experience at a higher level of care such as a psych hospital, residential program, emergency room, etc.
  • Must be comfortable with a fast pace work environment and handling clients in crisis
  • Nonjudgmental ability to foster self-sufficiency using problem-solving and practical skills
  • Ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy and insight
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of clients from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds
  • Good time management skills necessary to maintain timely record keeping
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation

  • LICSW or LMHC preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family and group therapy sessions
  • Conduct intakes as well as handle both case and crisis management
  • Support clients through collaboration with other medical service providers, state agencies, other mental health services (including crisis services), and other community agencies and resources
