About The Position

Lead Orientation Leaders are student workers who assist in the planning, implementation, and facilitation of New Student Orientation (NSO) during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Lead Orientation Leaders also assist in the hiring, training, and development of Orientation Coordinators and Orientation Leaders.

Requirements

  • Must currently be enrolled as a student at Friends University.
  • Need to be undergraduate students and need to have been an Orientation Leader or Orientation Coordinator previously.
  • Will be able to demonstrate the following: initiative, leadership, excellent communication, confidence with public speaking, organization, independence, and professionalism.
  • Lead Orientation Leaders must also be available for each of these dates and times in 2026: Spring New Student Orientation – Friday, January 9, 2026 – all day
  • Fall New Student Orientation Development Days: 8/7-8/8, and 8/10-8/12.
  • Fall New Student Orientation – 8/13-8/16 - all day.
  • NSO Debrief Meetings - August
