The Job: As a Lead Operations Engineer, you’ll be part of our Construction Technology team working as a remote employee. We are looking for a hands-on Lead Operations Engineer to work on our MSuite product offerings in the area of Construction Technology. We are a small and nimble team, so you’ll likely get to experience and participate on many projects in various technical capacities. However, you should expect the following set of responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent required
  • 6-8 years of experience in writing CI/CD pipelines, Cloud deployment automations required (Ansible, Teraform etc.)
  • Implementing production monitoring to ensure High availability and proactive curation for SaaS platforms (Datadog, Mixpanel Etc)
  • Availability, latency, performance, change impact analysis are your strong forte
  • Hands-on experience in scaling application infrastructures, reducing deployment risks (rolling deployments) and increase velocity
  • Deep understanding of latest Cloud services, Containerization, Authentication Systems & Protocols
  • Excellent production trouble shooting skills, team player and hands on leader
  • Ability to dissect platform designs & deliverables, preventing production outage
  • Experience in docker

  • Hands-on software development experience
  • Experience in rolling deployment tools establishment and implementation
  • Experience in distributed data platforms (processing and persistence)
  • Experience in infrastructure management and benchmarking

Responsibilities

  • Develop & lead the direction for next gen CI/CD & cloud deployments of Construction Technology platform
  • Establish tools/processes for rolling cloud deployment pipelines ensuring reduced risks & faster development cycles
  • Collaborate across teams for gathering critical functional, technical details to define & co-own availability, latency, performance, change impact analysis requirements
  • Effectively Implement Datadog, mixpanel capabilities to pro actively monitor the system, application and customer patterns
  • Collaborate with security and risk compliance partners to ensure smooth analysis and resolutions of issues
  • Work with development teams to contribute towards code deliverables, E2E design flows
  • Pro-actively Vet our systems for resiliency, scalability, highly availability & agility
  • Estimate, advice and keep leadership informed on progress, manage risks and issues
  • Keep the success of our customers as the guiding principle of your work
  • Lead the team to effectively prioritize work while also strategically leveraging technology to scale the team's performance
