Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Management or other related fields. Education can be substituted with additional years of experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in network engineering.
  • DOD IAT Level II Certification is required.
  • Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI upon hire.
  • In-depth understanding of network architecture design, including LAN, WAN, SDN, VPNs, and hybrid cloud environments. Experience with SD-WAN technologies and solutions is a plus.
  • Expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving across complex enterprise networks.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and other core networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of classified/unclassified government network requirements, NIST, DISA STIGs, and other cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including security, systems engineering, and program management.
  • Lead enterprise-scale network operations in a secure, mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and troubleshoot complex network architectures.
  • Use centralized network management tools to gather statistics, generate usage reports, and back up device configurations.
  • Lead and supervise a team of network administrators.
  • Manage DARPA’s multiple classified and unclassified network infrastructures.
  • Provide technical leadership on major network tasks and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Conduct system-level assessments of communications systems for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Research and evaluate emerging network technologies, protocols, and applications for potential integration into the enterprise environment.
  • Ensure seamless and secure connectivity across all enterprise endpoints.
  • Analyze interoperability, integration, and deployment issues; optimize topology and site configurations.
  • Apply advanced network design tools and techniques to develop efficient and secure architectures.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop technical staff.
  • Support mission-critical operations, with the expectation of occasional off-duty work hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
