Lead Medical Lab Scientist
About The Position
Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures in the laboratory. Monitors the day-to-day technical operation of one or more sections of the clinical laboratory. Works closely with the laboratory manager, Director of Laboratory Services, and Medical Director to provide effective oversight of the section. Monitors section quality control and preventive maintenance programs to ensure test accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Performs all approved laboratory procedures in assigned licensure specialties, as required to meet workload demands.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree Medical Technology Or
- Associate's Degree Biology Or
- Associate's Degree Chemistry
- Clinical Lab Technologist - Issued by Florida or Compact State
- Competency in all (5) specialties.
- Four (4) years of Laboratory experience preferably in a supervisory capacity.
