About The Position

$1000 sign on bonus for new hires! A non-exempt medical office position responsible for providing direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician, assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice. Position will also assist in ensuring optimal efficiency in clinical process.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required with completion of Medical Assisting Program or 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
CPR certification
Must have a minimum of five years of clinical experience working in a physician office

Responsibilities

Adheres to Tenet Physician Resources' mission, philosophy, policies, and Corporate Compliance Program.
Complies with the HIPAA Compliance Plan, Privacy Standards, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Monitors patient flow, performs phone triage, and adjusts assignments to maintain efficiency.
Manages inventory of clinical supplies, vaccine logs, and medical equipment maintenance.
Trains employees on office processes, systems, and new clinic procedures.
Assesses patient needs by taking vitals, history, and physical/mental status.
Completes all required medical record documentation in accordance with charting policies.
Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams, and procedures.
Administers medications and injections, and performs venipunctures and CLIA-Waived lab testing.
Manages patient appointments, insurance pre-certifications, referrals, and front office support.
