About The Position

Join BJC Medical Group as a full-time Lead Medical Assistant in OBGYN, located in Sunset Hills. This is an outpatient role offering a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus, 40-hours per week on a day shift, and is benefit eligible with no call, weekends, or holidays. The Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for leading a team of Medical Assistants in providing patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider, serving as an experienced role model, supporting compliance, providing cross-training, following practice protocols, and performing procedures within the practice.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience
• Less than 2 years of supervisor experience
• Certification/Registration in Area of Expertise

Nice To Haves

• 5-10 years of experience
• 2-5 years of supervisor experience
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification

Responsibilities

• Manages inventory and tracking of medications and supplies.
• Ensures practice is in compliance with OSHA and all protocols/procedures in the delivery of patient care.
• Acts as MA clinical subject matter expert to assist practice management in oversight of coverage and daily patient operations.
• Monitors MA required training and certification records and ensures everyone is in compliance with HR.
• Performs triage of incoming escalated patient requests.
