As a Lead Mechatronics Maintenance Technologist, you’ll keep sophisticated equipment running at its best—while raising the bar for safety, quality, and uptime. Your Mission Protect throughput. You’ll combine expert break-fix execution, disciplined preventive maintenance, and data-driven predictive work to keep mechanical, electrical, and control systems performing at peak levels.

Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED required.
  • Associate degree (technical) with 7+ years of relevant, industry-specific experience; or 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong predictive maintenance background (vibration analysis, laser interferometer), precision alignment expertise, and process equipment proficiency.
  • Comfort across electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and controls—able to diagnose, propose alternatives, and execute effective repairs.
  • Skilled with hand and specialty tools; capable of advanced control system troubleshooting and programming.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma experience preferred; occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogate and stabilize control systems by programming, debugging, and analyzing PLCs, hardware interfaces, and configurations.
  • Turn predictive insights into action—apply infrared, ultrasonic, power quality, laser interferometry, ball bar, and vibration data to target root causes.
  • Lead CI initiatives end-to-end, using structured methodologies to deliver measurable results and cost savings.
  • Source parts strategically; recommend engineered alternatives that lift reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Execute maintenance to industry standards; uphold 5S and strong housekeeping.
  • Operate machining tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding to fabricate and restore parts when needed.
  • Research and document better methods; share innovations across sites to elevate maintenance practices.
  • Build credible business cases—prepare inputs for equipment investments, repair/rebuild proposals, and savings initiatives.
  • Keep impeccable records—update CMMS, analyze trends, and close feedback loops.
  • Provide technical content for sales quotations; perform T&M tasks as assigned.
  • Develop others—train, coach, and occasionally manage projects to drive outcomes.
  • Commit to growth—complete on-the-job training and self-study to expand your capabilities.
  • Champion safety—follow all policies and technical instructions; maintain situational awareness to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
