Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for a Lead Heavy Asphalt Equipment Repair Technician for heavy civil projects in the North Texas area. Our technician is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various types of concrete paving equipment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of service and repair experience with asphalt paving equipment
  • Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills
  • Maintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude with required knowledge of: Diesel engines Transmissions Electrical systems Hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
  • Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
  • Must be able to work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience with Gomaco, Miller Formless, Wirtgen, Guntert & Zimmerman, and other various brands of concrete paving equipment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates smoothly
  • Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues by using diagnostic equipment or by performing hands-on tests
  • Repairing or replacing broken parts, such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Maintain detailed service records for each piece of equipment for warranty, compliance, and tracking purposes.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
