About The Position

The Lead Martech Solutions Engineer is responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, privacy-compliant data collection and activation solutions across web and mobile platforms. This role bridges marketing, engineering, and data governance — ensuring first-party data can be leveraged responsibly for Marketing, analytics, and personalization initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge of marketing technology (MarTech) stacks (Segment, Braze, Acoustic, GA4, etc.) with hands-on experience implementing client-side and server-side tracking for React Native and web applications, including marketing pixels, conversion tracking, and advertising integrations across major platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Third-party pixel implementation (TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter/X)
  • Experience with tag management best practices and debugging tools (GTM Preview, Meta Pixel Helper, Google Tag Assistant)
  • REST & GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar DWH
  • Event streaming / ETL tools (e.g., RudderStack, Kafka, Fivetran optional)
  • Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and consent frameworks (TCF v2.0)
  • Ability to anonymize or pseudonymize identifiers while maintaining data usability
  • Understanding of iOS 14+ privacy changes (ATT framework, SKAdNetwork)
  • Experience with cookie consent management platforms (OneTrust, Cookiebot, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data layer implementation and event schemas
  • Familiarity with UTM parameters, attribution models, and multi-touch attribution
  • Experience with audience syncing and custom audience creation across ad platforms
  • Understanding of GDPR, CCPA compliance requirements for advertising pixels
  • Ability to implement and test server-side tracking for improved data accuracy and privacy
  • Experience troubleshooting discrepancies between platform analytics and advertising platform reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Implemented tracking or consent flows directly in React Native apps.
  • Experience setting up event-driven architectures for marketing analytics.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, version control (Git), and infrastructure as code for deployment of server-side tag environments.
  • Background collaborating with data privacy and legal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Architect privacy-compliant data flows from web/mobile to downstream systems (Segment, Braze, Acoustic, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Implement SDKs and APIs for event tracking, consent management, and user identity resolution within React Native apps and web environments.
  • Design consent-aware data pipelines, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and internal privacy policies while preserving marketing and analytics functionality.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Data Engineering teams to align on event taxonomy, user identity models, and data governance standards.
  • Implement and maintain marketing pixels and conversion tracking (Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.) across web and mobile environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot advertising platform integrations including Facebook Conversions API (CAPI), Google Enhanced Conversions, and server-side event forwarding for improved attribution and iOS 14+ privacy compliance.
  • Design and implement dynamic audience syncing to advertising platforms while maintaining user privacy and consent preferences.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for tracking specifications, environment configurations, and data schema changes, including pixel firing logic and advertising event mappings.
  • Audit and monitor data flows to ensure data integrity, minimize duplication, and maintain system performance.
  • Advise on and integrate with CDPs and tag management platforms, including server-side tagging setups, with expertise in Google Tag Manager (web & server-side), and Segment.
  • Prototype and deploy experiments (A/B tests, personalization, customer journeys) leveraging tools like Amplitude, Braze, or Google Optimize alternatives.
  • Maintain messaging platform integrations, ensuring push notifications, in-app messages, emails, and other outbound communications are delivered and render correctly and are properly tracked.
