About The Position

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a technical expert within the engineering team, working closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-volume precision manufacturing, automotive or diesel fuel systems, and advanced manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, grinding, and automated assembly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience supporting high-volume precision manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of automotive or diesel fuel system components
  • Experience with CNC machining, grinding, honing, or precision metal manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within engineering or manufacturing teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fuel injector, pump, or precision automotive component manufacturing
  • Experience working in automotive Tier 1 or diesel engine manufacturing environments
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • Experience with automated assembly systems and high-volume manufacturing lines
  • Experience with APQP, PFMEA, and process capability analysis

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to manufacturing engineers and production teams
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for fuel injector components and assemblies
  • Lead process optimization efforts to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Support troubleshooting of manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Supply Chain
  • Support new product launches, including process development, validation, and production readiness
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and implement sustainable process improvements
  • Lead efforts related to cycle time reduction, process capability improvements, and cost reduction initiatives
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process standards, and work instructions
  • Support equipment and tooling improvements to enhance manufacturing performance and reliability
