About The Position

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a technical expert within the engineering team, working closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-volume precision manufacturing, automotive or diesel fuel systems, and advanced manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, grinding, and automated assembly.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
Experience supporting high-volume precision manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of automotive or diesel fuel system components
Experience with CNC machining, grinding, honing, or precision metal manufacturing processes
Demonstrated leadership experience within engineering or manufacturing teams
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements

Nice To Haves

Experience in fuel injector, pump, or precision automotive component manufacturing
Experience working in automotive Tier 1 or diesel engine manufacturing environments
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
Experience with automated assembly systems and high-volume manufacturing lines
Experience with APQP, PFMEA, and process capability analysis

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to manufacturing engineers and production teams
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for fuel injector components and assemblies
Lead process optimization efforts to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
Support troubleshooting of manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Supply Chain
Support new product launches, including process development, validation, and production readiness
Analyze production data to identify trends and implement sustainable process improvements
Lead efforts related to cycle time reduction, process capability improvements, and cost reduction initiatives
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process standards, and work instructions
Support equipment and tooling improvements to enhance manufacturing performance and reliability
