What impact you’ll make As a member of the Process Industrialization team, you will be an active contributor to create, maintain, and execute the standard in how to develop and industrialize manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role executes steps to move process from development to production; driving the hand off process, post deployment support, and problem solving to finish the industrialization of a process into full production. Focus is on meeting the needs of the production teams as internal customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of equivalent manufacturing or process development experience
  • Minimum of 4 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment
  • Ability and desire to work on site in a manufacturing environment
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
  • Eligibility Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute team demands and roadmap initiatives
  • Executes hand offs for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments; inclusive of lead time, technology selection, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plan, and run-off of initial production sets
  • Execute hands-on development of new products and processes enabling a successful hand-off to the production team
  • Supports project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, process quality, qualifications, and problem solving
  • Support problem solving post deployment
  • Strong ability to identify and eliminate waste
  • Engineering, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes
  • Participate in productivity efforts supporting cost competitiveness
  • Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development
  • Utilize kaizen activities for continuous improvement and collaborate with wider team on breakthrough initiatives
