The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all production and facility equipment operates safely and efficiently. This role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of bottling, grain handling, and distillation equipment. Working onsite daily, the Lead Maintenance Technician partners closely with bottling technicians, distillery and brewing operators, supervisors, and department managers to quickly resolve mechanical and system issues and support overall operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Lifting requirements: 60 pounds
  • Minimal travel between facilities all based within Columbus
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Perform quick and in-depth troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of production and facility equipment
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including creating and maintaining maintenance plans
  • Assist with bottling line tooling changeovers, setup, and adjustments
  • Perform basic PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Complete general facility maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operators, supervisors, and managers to resolve mechanical and system issues
  • Effectively communicate equipment issues, corrective actions, and solutions to team members and leadership
  • Serve as a technical leader and resource for maintenance staff, including training and mentoring others
