About The Position

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations at Saxony at Chase Oaks, a 470-unit apartment community in Plano. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and ensures the community is maintained to the highest standards while supporting a strong team environment. Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• HVAC certification required
• CPO certification required
• 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades
• Ability to lead, train, and hold team members accountable
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Nice To Haves

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all maintenance operations for the community
• Diagnose and complete service requests, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Manage and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion
• Oversee apartment turns, including scheduling, inspections, and quality control
• Supervise and support maintenance team members
• Maintain pool, grounds, and common areas to company standards
• Coordinate vendors and contractors for larger or specialized projects
• Ensure preventative maintenance is completed consistently
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and communication with residents
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
