About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance Group Leader, the Reliability Engineer will play a pivotal role in improving the reliability, performance, and efficiency of CNC production equipment. This position is focused on reducing corrective maintenance, enhancing preventive maintenance processes, and optimizing spare parts inventory to minimize downtime. Leveraging Cognos dashboards and Maximo CMMS data, the Reliability Engineer will drive measurable improvements in key business metrics, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). The role will also focus on tracking and improving metrics such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), ensuring sustainable and impactful results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing experience) + Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience utilizing Maximo or similar CMMS systems, with basic scripting and coding skills for developing SQL queries.
  • Shop floor manufacturing experience working with production equipment.
  • Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Adaptability in tailoring communication to different audiences.
  • High sense of urgency, responsiveness, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to take ownership of constantly changing priorities within a dynamic manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an accurate spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime.
  • Reduce equipment maintenance expenses by implementing effective preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Enhance failure code documentation to improve corrective maintenance tracking and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct Pareto analysis on excessive corrective maintenance spending and develop actionable plans to address key issues.
  • Establish methodologies to track MTBF and MTTR using Maximo CMMS data and Cognos dashboards.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Lead problem-solving activities and Root Cause Analysis using FLIGHT DECK tools.
  • Drive corrective actions to closure and ensure sustainable improvements.
  • Improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance tasks.
  • Actively participate in Kaizen events and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation to drive continuous improvement.
