Lead Maintenance Crew (West Dover, VT, US)
About The Position
The Lead Maintenance Crew functions as a team member within maintenance and other departments. Ability to make competent decisions while thinking of the customers and resorts interest at all times. Use skill-based knowledge to perform assigned tasks in a professional manner at all times with focus on efficiency and quality of work. This position can cover many departments pertaining to repairs upkeep and preventative maintenance as requested. People skills planning, execution, control, communication are essential in completing tasks efficiency and keeping department informed on work status. Vail resorts core values are necessary to succeed in this function.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to ride chair lifts.
- Must have valid drivers license & satisfactory driving record (In accordance with VR Drivers policy)
- Must be able and willing to work 1st or 2nd shifts.
- Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift to perform medium work (defined as exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally)
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a highly dynamic work environment.
- Ability to learn to use chemicals as directed.
- Must possess visual acuity necessary for visual inspection involving work as a distance at or within arm's reach and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Clean resort facilities according to applicable guidance and standards, working with a team or independently.
- Work with site staff to ensure that cleaning tools and supplies are adequately stocked.
- Proactively communicate maintenance needs to ensure timely service.
- Engage with guests and staff while exhibiting Vail Resorts Core Values.
- Assist with operation of activities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
