About The Position

SPS Global is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lead Mailroom Associate to oversee daily mailroom and shipping/receiving operations. This role is responsible for ensuring inbound and outbound materials are processed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining a professional and customer-focused environment. You will provide onsite operational leadership under supervisor direction, support client services activities, and help maintain a highly organized Business Service Center that reflects the company’s commitment to excellence. This role combines operational coordination, team guidance, and high-level customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • 1+ year of lead or supervisory experience, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of shipping and receiving procedures
  • Ability to work independently and follow operational instructions
  • Must be able to perform fine and gross motor tasks, including lifting, carrying, or moving packages using a wheeled cart with a load capacity of up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, or sit for extended periods while performing job duties
  • Requires manual dexterity for operating office equipment such as phones, copy machines, and binding machines
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing 40 lbs or more frequently

  • Experience operating multifunctional mailroom/digital office equipment
  • Corporate, client services, or business service center experience

Responsibilities

  • Process inbound mail and packages, including sorting and logging items into chain-of-custody software
  • Manage outgoing mail and shipping transactions
  • Operate mailroom equipment including postage meters, photocopiers, and folding/inserting machines
  • Validate packing slips and ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials
  • Follow established shipping, receiving, and distribution procedures
  • Provide 5-star customer service to onsite employees through all communication channels
  • Notify employees upon receipt of deliveries and respond to mail and package inquiries
  • Serve as a point of contact for company personnel regarding mailroom and shipping concerns
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions at all times
  • Provide guidance and training to backup staff on policies and procedures
  • Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met
  • Work with the supervisor to determine daily operational priorities
  • Submit work orders and generate operational reports as needed
  • Proactively identify additional tasks during downtime
  • Maintain the Business Service Center in a clean, organized, and professional condition
  • Monitor office supply levels and reorder items when necessary
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
