About The Position

The Lead Lineman Electrician provides technical leadership and hands-on supervision to the High Voltage Electrical Shop. This role involves performing advanced maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical distribution systems and utility infrastructure up to 69 kV at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. The position requires leading, assigning, and reviewing the work of other Lineman Electricians and related personnel, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, and responding to emergency power restoration issues.

Requirements

Must be specifically qualified and trained to work on electrical utility systems and equipment up to 69 kV
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance, repair and installation of electrical distribution systems including switching, utility poles, and substations

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated leadership or lead experience in high-voltage lineman work is preferred

Responsibilities

Lead, assign, and review the work of Lineman Electricians and related personnel in the High Voltage Electrical Shop
Maintain, repair, and install electrical distribution systems up to 69 kV, including overhead and underground lines
Perform switching operations on utility systems safely and efficiently
Work on utility poles, substations, and related high-voltage equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in high-voltage distribution systems
Install and maintain overhead and underground electrical infrastructure
Ensure strict adherence to high-voltage safety protocols and regulatory requirements
Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to subordinate staff
Respond to emergency power restoration and high-voltage system issues
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and team activities
Collaborate with other trades and departments on facility electrical projects
