About The Position

Clary Sage College is looking for a technical expert in Lash Artistry to lead our specialized lash training while providing support to the Esthetics department. This role is ideal for a lash artist who excels in the fine details of lash application—from classic sets to advanced designer styling—and has a heart for education. Key Instructional Focus: Lash Artistry You will be the primary subject matter expert for all lash-related curriculum, ensuring students master: Application Techniques: Professional execution of Classic, Hybrid, and Volume sets. Technical Precision: In-depth training on placement, isolation, and bond integrity. Artistic Design: Advanced mapping based on eye shape, facial symmetry, and "Designer" lash styling. Product Theory: Expert knowledge of diameters, lengths, and curl types to ensure lash health and customized results. General Esthetics Support Beyond lash specialization, you will assist the Esthetics department by supporting the needs of the Esthetics department. A good candidate will be proficient in: Makeup Artistry: Application for various skin tones, bridal, and editorial looks. Advanced Skincare: Facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and body treatments. Theory & Safety: Proper sanitation (OSHA), skin histology, and product chemistry.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of verifiable experience as an Esthetician with a heavy focus on Lash Artistry.
  • Licensure: Valid Oklahoma Master Instructor License in Esthetics or Cosmetology.
  • Technical Mastery: Must demonstrate expert-level skill in Classic/Volume/Hybrid mapping and placement.
  • Communication: Ability to break down complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand steps for students.

Responsibilities

  • Instruction: Deliver high-level technical demonstrations and supervise hands-on practice in the student clinic.
  • Student Mentorship: Provide "real-world" feedback on student work, focusing on speed, accuracy, and client retention strategies.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain attendance records and grades via Canvas.
  • Compliance: Ensure all students adhere to the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology regulations and OSHA safety standards.
  • Retention: Foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to complete their program and enter the workforce with confidence.
