About The Position

Willow Valley Communities (WVC) is seeking a Full Time Lead Landscape Gardener to help maintain and enhance the beauty of our resort-style campuses. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll perform a wide range of landscaping and grounds maintenance duties while serving as a key resource for the team. This position provides oversight in the absence of the Coordinators and/or Manager and plays an active role in training new Team Members. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Why Join Willow Valley Communities? Requirements

  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2–3 years of related experience
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing multiple grounds responsibilities simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Takes part in preparing and grading terrain, applying fertilizers and pesticides, seeding and sodding lawns, and transplanting plant material.
  • Locates and plants shrubs, trees, and flowers.
  • Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged branches; provides leadership in accomplishment of task.
  • General clean up, weeding, mulching, raking and edging within landscape beds.
  • Cleans grounds, removes litter, leaf and debris removal.
  • Assists with snow removal.
  • Waters lawn and shrubs; maintains plant materials as necessary.
  • Provides leadership of others as required.
  • Complies with all company safety policies and guidelines related to own personal safety; oversees and promotes safe work practices for fellow Team Members.
  • Must be able to interact cordially and professionally with Residents, Team Members and guests.
  • Checks with Coordinators and/or Manager for any special instructions or assignments.
