About The Position

The Lead, Integration position is responsible for leading the integration of systems with a focus in the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project. This position plays a critical role in defining and executing systems integration strategy, ensuring that integration requirements are met across platforms and align with enterprise architecture standards, and enable seamless data flow between AMI, CIS, MDM, OMS, and other enterprise systems. Job Description: Leads integration of standards and technology platforms to promote consistency and operational efficiency. Serves as a subject matter expert on integration strategies across IT and OT systems, providing guidance on interoperability, performance, and issue resolution. Acts as a liaison with leadership, tracking project progress, communicating risks and updates, and contributing to strategic planning and process improvement. Leads end-to-end integration projects and advise on strategies across IT/OT systems to ensure timely delivery of interoperable, high-performing solutions aligned with enterprise architecture." Collaborates with business stakeholders and Solutions Architects to translate functional needs into actionable integration plans. Reviews and approves integration design documents to ensure alignment with project goals and cybersecurity frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Ensures AMI system design, development, and deployment comply with LUMA IT policies, technical standards, and architectural frameworks, while supporting continuous improvement. Leads troubleshooting and resolution of integration issues across IT and OT systems. Supports data governance and operational efficiency by promoting consistent, secure data exchange and adherence to integration best practices. Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations. Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services. Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility. Leads troubleshooting and resolution of integration issues across IT and OT systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a systems integration role involving enterprise applications, middleware platforms, or data exchange frameworks—preferably in complex, regulated environments such as utilities, telecom, or financial services.
  • Experience in team coordination, task delegation, and performance management (directly or indirectly).
  • Experience with integration tools and platforms, including MS Azure, Java EE, IBM MQ, as well as integration monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Proficiency in integration tools and frameworks (e.g., APIs, REST/SOAP, ETL, message queues).
  • Knowledge of Web services, Rest API and SaaS.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure) and data architecture concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail in documentation and system design.
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in hybrid IT/OT environments.
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and performance tuning.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and understanding of typical utility applications and their connection to each other (CIS, GIS, OMS, AMI, etc.) and associated application landscape is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in written and oral communication (Spanish and English) is preferred.
