About The Position

The Lead Insurance Sales Agent at Direct Auto Insurance is responsible for leading store sales operations, coordinating sales, marketing, and administrative activities of the store staff, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves working closely with the District Sales Manager and/or Area Sales Manager to manage sales and marketing metrics, train staff, develop customer relationships, and implement marketing initiatives to enhance the company's brand in the local market.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of successful business-to-consumer sales experience.
  • Active Property/Casualty and Life Insurance Licensure.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong ability to market and sell in a multi-product environment with a focus on cross-selling and customer retention.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and presentation delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Experience or willingness to develop key relationships and market products within community organizations and the local business community.
  • Current valid US state driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead store sales operations and coordinate sales, marketing, and administrative activities of the store staff.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction levels at or above company average.
  • Work with the District Sales Manager and/or Area Sales Manager to set, manage, and report sales and marketing metrics/results.
  • Assist in training staff in soft skills, products, services, and industry compliance.
  • Develop and manage customer relationships, serving as a resource for customers on National General products and services.
  • Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify daily reports of receipts for cash drawers.
  • Ensure daily deposits are taken to the bank.
  • Implement marketing programs and initiatives to promote National General's brand in the local market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and local businesses.
  • Monitor key competitors in the local market and suggest initiatives to improve National General's position.
