About The Position

Reich Tool & Design, Menomonee Falls, WI Lead Inspector CMM Programming 1 st Shift Pay starting at $30 per hour Reich Tool & Design , a Menomonee Falls based, family-owned and operated Tool and Die manufacturer for almost 60 years is looking to expand its Quality/Inspection Department. www.reichtool.com We are looking for an experienced, hands-on candidate with skills in finished/in-process part inspection and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and operating. The qualified candidate would report directly to the Quality Manager and be responsible for the supervision and training of Quality Technicians, Metrology Apprentices and Quality Inspectors. This is an 8-hour, in-person, first shift position Monday - Friday Hours can be 5am-1pm, 6am-2pm, or 7am-3pm Possible overtime based on Company needs.

Requirements

  • High School education or GED.
  • 7+ years related quality and inspection experience.
  • 5+ years CMM programming experience.
  • Blueprint knowledge including GD&T.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Progressive knowledge of industry software.
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft software.
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Experience, training, and knowledge to perform validations, first article inspection reports and perform risk assessments related to facility, process and product.

Nice To Haves

  • Reverse engineering and Solid Modeling experience.
  • Zeiss CMM, FARO Arm and/or Micro Vu experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience working with automotive, aerospace and medical industries.
  • Prior machining or CNC operation also a plus.
  • CQI or TQM certification.
  • Toolmaker experience.
  • Reverse engineering and Solid Modeling experience.
  • Experience working in a job shop manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in development of quality and inspection plans from design drawings, meeting Company requirements for ISO 9001-2008, ISO 13485.
  • Program and operate CMM to specifications.
  • Program and operate portable arm to specifications.
  • Perform inspections on first piece, in process, purchased part, and finished material and products.
  • Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders.
  • Train and supervise quality department staff to ensure Company and department goals are met.
  • Take an active role in coaching and mentoring team members at all skill levels, with a focus on developing both technical capabilities and professional growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.
