About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: In a High Reliability Organization, Infection Preventionist
Lead is responsible for guiding the team of Infection Preventionists in
monitoring and implementing Infection Surveillance, Prevention and Control.
Responsible for facilitation of the local infection prevention and control
program under the direction of the Director of Quality.

Requirements

• EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Clinical laboratory sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health, or other health-related field required Associate degree nurses may also be considered
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: CBIC CIC (Certification in Infection Control) upon hire
• SKILLS: Knowledge of all aspects of a healthcare facility, including microbiology, surgical, medical, maternal child, pediatric, geriatric and physical plant
• Excellent time management and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently required
• Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
• EXPERIENCE: 5 years of healthcare or public health experience preferred or 3 years of experience as Infection Preventionists preferred
