About The Position

This Lead Industrial Controls & Valve Automation Technician role is field-based across AZ, CA, HI, NV, with approximately 75% travel, including extended multi-week assignments at customer sites. The workweek is typically Monday through Friday, 8–10 hours per day plus travel, with 5–10 hours of overtime typical and variable start/finish times. A company truck is provided, and relocation support may be available. In this role, you will execute new installations, retrofits, and repairs for pressure, temperature, and differential transmitters and related process instrumentation both in the field and in the shop. You will calibrate level/pressure/temperature transmitters to exacting standards, triage and resolve issues with process control assets such as MOVs, field instruments, and final control devices. Additionally, you will conduct MOV diagnostics, capture field measurements, engineer mounting hardware for actuator/valve interfaces, and design brackets and couplings for electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuator applications. Building customer relationships, promoting service agreements, leading training, and collaboratively solving problems are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in field service/instrumentation (power generation preferred) or equivalent electro-mechanical background
  • Proven calibration mastery for level, pressure, and temperature transmitters
  • Working knowledge of process controls and instrumentation systems
  • Electrical literacy across single/three phase, AC/DC; able to read schematics and troubleshoot efficiently
  • Expertise with electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic valve actuators
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and a sustained excellent driving record
  • Pass a pre-screen drug test that includes testing for marijuana, and be subjected to random testing (safety-sensitive position)
