About The Position

This position is a customer-service oriented leader responsible for supervising a team of Imaging Support Specialists. This role oversees scheduling, mentoring, and performance feedback, and serves as the escalation point for complex imaging technology issues. The Lead coordinates with the Director of Imaging Informatics and VP of Imaging Services, owns service quality metrics, and drives radiologist satisfaction. The Lead also provides hands-on support, rounds at assigned hospitals, and ensures timely resolution of imaging-related issues, including remote and after-hours support for radiologists, technologists, and imaging operations. Specialist(s) require a thorough understanding of the workflow processes and relationships between ancillary systems and RIS/PACS. This position includes the assurance of proper staff training, daily data and system maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster planning.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher.
  • Five (5) or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in imaging or information systems department(s), including supervisory or lead experience.
  • Working knowledge of imaging technology and information systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree or higher preferred
  • IT and/or technical expertise in PACS system(s) preferred
  • Experience in imaging software and report writing are preferred.
  • Extensive training with medical IS applications.
  • Supervisory experience in healthcare or IS environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay current with advancements in the imaging technology field.
