About The Position

This is a full-time permanent position for a Senior / Lead Level HVAC Service Technician located in Corpus Christi, TX. The role involves diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining advanced and complex commercial HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, disassembly, reassembly, and planned maintenance on large-scale equipment. The Lead Mechanic will coordinate and execute work on service contracts, quoted projects, and demand service calls, acting as a front-line technical leader by providing guidance, training, and support to other technicians. Responsibilities also include coordinating subcontractors, assisting with workflow planning on larger projects, communicating with customers, purchasing materials, managing parts and inventory on service vehicles, documenting job progress using mobile/app-based software, and adhering to safety policies and fleet requirements. Requirements

  • 7+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Required licenses, registrations, and certifications applicable to the role
  • Strong ability to work independently while leading others in the field
  • Technical Expertise: Split systems (up to 120 tons)
  • Technical Expertise: Mini-split and multi-zone systems (including VRV/VRF heat pump & heat recovery)
  • Technical Expertise: Rooftop units (all brands, 150+ tons)
  • Technical Expertise: Water-source heat pumps (up to 120 tons)
  • Technical Expertise: Self-contained and CRAC systems (Liebert, Data-Aire, Stulz)
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced chilled water systems (air-cooled and water-cooled chillers)
  • Technical Expertise: Scroll, reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal compressors
  • Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of building automation systems and OEM software tools
  • Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and blueprints
  • Skills & Attributes: Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Skills & Attributes: Professional demeanor with strong communication skills
