Brookings Health System is seeking reliable, hard working Lead Environmental Services Technician to join our team to deliver the best possible care! This position will be full-time on the evening shift. Brookings Health System is a non-profit, city-owned health system that serves the health care needs of our local communities. This position will help keep the facility clean and disinfected for patient and resident care. Keeps a clean and welcoming environment for visiting family and friends. Performs and communicates to staff cleaning duties to meet facility standards. Will be involved in and aware of the department's quality improvement and will actively participate in customer service activities when requested. Incumbent must be able to multitask and respond effectively to constant interruptions. Maintains the highest level of customer service at all times. Will be responsible for sanitizing patient care areas, waiting areas, work surfaces, patient and resident rooms and restrooms. In addition, the housekeeping lead will be responsible for preparing work schedules, providing work direction and participating in annual reviews.

Requirements

  • Must possess basic knowledge of laundry and housekeeping processes.
  • Must be able to do moderate lifting.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must have good communication skills.
