We are seeking a dedicated Lead Housekeeper. The (LHK) oversees the housekeeping team to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position ensures that all cleaning tasks meet high standards of hygiene and contributes to the overall quality and satisfaction of the senior living community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is strongly preferred.
  • Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by TCSL
  • Familiarity with cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation.
  • Knowledge of senior living community operations is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality work.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, residents, and other staff.
  • Remain adaptable to changing priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to housekeeping staff.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to cleaning schedules and standards.
  • Perform and oversee cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas, resident rooms, and offices.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste materials.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs for replenishment or repair.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations and community policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly.
  • Respond to resident and staff requests for housekeeping services promptly and courteously.
  • Address concerns and ensure resident satisfaction with cleaning services.
  • Develop and maintain housekeeping schedules and task lists.
  • Document cleaning activities and submit reports to the supervisor as needed.
  • Assist in creating policies and procedures to improve housekeeping operations.
