About The Position

JOIN OUR TEAM! Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a full time Lead Housekeeper. The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment. This position leads by example, providing hands-on support, training, quality assurance, and task coordination for the housekeeping team where infection control and regulatory standards are critical.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have three (3) years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a hospital or behavioral health setting.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare cleaning standards.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification
  • New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual/Spanish speaking highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties safely and in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations or law.
  • Follow organization policy and procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
  • Other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, as needed.
  • Launder soiled linens as directed.
  • Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit uses. Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
  • Routinely practice infection control measures. Prepare rooms for meetings and furniture for facility.
  • May oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping for facility.
  • May be responsible for stocking of supplies.
  • Assigns daily cleaning duties and ensures appropriate staffing coverage for all shifts.
  • Assists in training new staff in infection prevention, safety, and cleaning protocols.
  • Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning agents, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment.
  • Performs routine and deep cleaning tasks in patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Ensures timely turnover of patient rooms and discharges in coordination with nursing.
  • Assists with schedule adjustments, emergency response clean-up, or special projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
