About The Position

WM is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator III to join their team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator III, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders at one of WM's recycling facilities, specifically a Landfill in Sparta, TN. Your work will be vital to the company's operations, which involve managing and reducing waste, recovering valuable resources, and creating clean, renewable energy across North America.

Requirements

5 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
Be over 18 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.
Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records.
Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.
Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as per guidelines for operating and maintaining vehicle.
Performs other duties as assigned.
