Position Highlights : 📍 Long Branch, New Jersey 🕒 Full time Schedule: 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM (Door opens at 8:00 AM) 🏥 On-site | 3-person location | Stable, growth-oriented healthcare leader 💼 What You’ll Do As a Lead HIS, you’ll support the Release of Information (ROI) process, manage patient health records, and help maintain smooth daily operations. Your role is essential to ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of medical information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work on-site daily in Long Branch, NJ
  • Comfortable using computers, email, and general office equipment
  • Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Prior healthcare, medical office, or HIM experience is a plus
  • Supervisory experience is strongly preferred but not required for the right fit

Nice To Haves

  • ROI or EMR experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate.
  • What matters most is your attitude, teachability, and work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Opening the site promptly at 8:00 AM and ensuring operations start smoothly
  • Processing medical record/ROI requests with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Maintaining patient charts, documentation, and EMR updates
  • Communicating clearly with patients, providers, and clinical staff
  • Supporting and mentoring your two teammates
  • Handling data entry, faxes, scanning, and general office tasks
  • Providing a strong customer service presence for walk-ins and phone inquiries
  • Assisting with training, onboarding, and workflow guidance
  • Ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times
