About The Position

This role will lead the development of global pricing strategies and drive operational implementation across multiple launch and in-line assets for the Takeda Oncology Business Unit (OBU). As a leader in the Global Oncology Pricing Center of Excellence, this high-visibility, high impact position is expected to apply industry-leading strategic and operational capabilities to drive optimal decision-making and inform key pricing decisions Act and be recognized as subject-matter expert, building trust in the function across the organization, focusing on pricing trends and insights, financial and operational rigor, and digital and AI innovation Elevate the team beyond pricing, by leading key initiatives across stakeholders from countries, regions and global functions, serving as the go-to person for financial assessments and strategic assumptions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably within Business, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or consulting
  • Understanding of multiple pricing and reimbursement systems in key markets across regions, e.g. US, EU, Emerging Markets
  • Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically define approach and manage execution
  • Highly collaborative: ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different geographies
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize to successfully manage multiple projects/priorities
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective IT-enabled solutions, with knowledge/experience with digital and AI tools/capabilities preferred
  • Ad-hoc international travel required (~5%)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or an advanced degree is preferred
  • Previous experience within a global/regional role is a plus
  • Experience in Oncology is a plus
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the impact of international reference pricing, cross-indication referencing and affordability considerations and solutions
  • Ability to assimilate pricing and reimbursement insights to inform future pricing decisions

Responsibilities

  • Leverage strong analytical and financial capabilities to analyze complex pricing business cases, synthesizing into clear and robust recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Drive strong pricing and financial discipline through competitive pricing landscape and policy scenario analyses, analogue assessments and key pricing assumptions for in-line, launch and early assets to inform price forecasting
  • Own key Global Pricing projects and processes for in-line and pipeline brands to advance the strategic capabilities of the OBU and inform pricing and access decisions, e.g. Global Pricing Guidance analytics, development and alignment of pricing and access forecast assumptions globally, Pricing KPIs
  • Partner with the Global Value & Access Oncology team, with regional and local Country Access, Pricing and Finance leads to ensure data sharing and efficient management of price decisions and KPIs
  • Own key relationships with external Pricing vendors, providing business perspective and driving timely delivery of system enhancements; identify opportunities to advance capabilities, leverage AI and digital solutions, and manage implementation across geographies
  • This is a high-visibility, high-impact role offering the opportunity to work closely with key stakeholders in Takeda's global, regional and local Patient Value & Access Oncology teams, across the entire Oncology portfolio.
  • This role provides the opportunity to collaborate broadly and contribute to advancing ways of working through effective execution and continuous improvement.
