About The Position

The Senior GIS Solutions Architect is a technical leadership role responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale geospatial and data-driven applications that support brokerage, research, capital markets, and advisory services. This position blends advanced GIS expertise with modern application development to deliver high-impact tools for site selection, market analysis, portfolio optimization, and client-facing deliverables. The role operates at the intersection of GIS, software engineering, and real estate intelligence, partnering closely with brokers, researchers, data scientists, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable spatial solutions. Contributes to the development and maintenance of custom GIS tools, web applications (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder), and automated workflows to enhance efficiency and analytical capabilities. Provides Expert-level proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS software suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise. Provides guidance and training to GIS staff and other team members on GIS best practices and software utilization. Stays abreast of emerging GIS technologies, software updates, and industry best practices, and recommend their adoption where beneficial. Ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all GIS data and products. Understanding of server architecture, and ability to architect, develop, and maintain GIS technologies in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.). Design and administer ArcGIS Enterprise deployments, including Portal, Server, Data Store, and web adaptors. Proficiency in data manipulation and scripting, preferably using Python, but understanding of alternatives including Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, etc. Build and optimize backend services and APIs using Python, .NET, and Azure Functions. Manage spatial data pipelines and automation using ArcPy, FME, Azure Data Factory, and Logic Apps. Integrate GIS platforms with Microsoft enterprise services including Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Power BI, Power Platform, and Microsoft Fabric. Relational databases with strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) Monitor performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and logging frameworks. Collaborate with IT, security, and data teams to ensure compliance with enterprise governance and cloud standards. Lead technical design reviews, establish best practices, and mentor junior developers. Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft suite including Teams and SharePoint Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Collaborates with various teams to provide GIS-driven insights for market reports, client presentations, and strategic advisory projects. Works directly with brokers and clients to understand their specific needs and deliver tailored GIS solutions and presentations. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for a non-technical audience. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
