About The Position

The Solution Architect (SA) serves as a subject matter expert on Cohere Health solutions, maintaining deep knowledge of platform capabilities, products, features, and best practices. They design and oversee the implementation of complex technical solutions that align with client business objectives. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring scalable and efficient solution designs. For this particular opening, we are looking for specific and deep domain expertise in the Medicaid markets, specifically understanding how to design solutions that meet the unique needs of state variations, regulations, and market landscape in a scalable way. At Cohere Health, the SA is a customer-facing role. They partner with the forward deployed engineer (FDE) to design business requirements and a solution strategy that serves the health plan customer and Cohere. The SA supports pre-sales efforts, designs the solution, gathers requirements, empowers implementation and product teams to execute on planned work, and supports the implementation through go live

Requirements

  • 6+ years working as a solutions architect or business analyst or product manager in a software and/or product organization serving health plans
  • 5+ years with either health plan customers in medicaid markets including UM experience, and an understanding of how to navigate and compliance requirements
  • Success in designing and implementing technology solutions with a specialized focus on prior authorization workflows and healthcare interoperability.
  • Demonstrate clear, precise writing creates shared understanding and ensures everyone is working from the same playbook.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, adjusting the message to the audience
  • Familiar with building software products that support a health plan’s cost containment and UM needs with a background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development lifecycles; Familiar with Jira,
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand software architecture, APIs, and integration patterns

Responsibilities

  • Designing the client solution and guiding clients to enable Cohere’s products to solve for client needs
  • Leading internal conversations to support new functionality, identify the product manager that is responsible for developing new functionality, ensuring they understand the requirements and problems to solve and have a plan to address those gaps.
  • Partnering with the project manager to ensure that all required work is planned for and resourced.
  • Maintaining internal documentation as a source of truth on solution scope, milestone and key resources.
  • Translating customer expectations and solution design into clear, well-documented requirements. Documentation will support business, functional and technical requirements and the SA will facilitate client sign off on those artifacts.
  • Partnering with a Forward Deployed Engineer to develop requirements and high-level technical designs for novel customer problems and ensure customer value

  • The salary range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
