The ideal candidate will be integral in providing quality lab testing services to accelerate detection of the Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (AATD) gene. Overview The Lead Genetic Technologist performs high-complexity molecular and genetic testing while providing day-to-day technical leadership within the genetics laboratory. This role oversees workflow, quality systems, staff training, and advanced troubleshooting for molecular diagnostics specific to qPCR and NGS with experience in a high-complexity molecular laboratory. The position supports CLIA and regulatory compliance across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes and partners with laboratory leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant test results. Shift leadership, on-call coverage, and acting supervisory responsibilities may be required.
