About The Position

The Lead Furniture Installation/MAC Technician plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC) operations for office furniture, workstations, and related assets. This leader not only executes and coordinates physical relocations, installations, and repairs, but leads a team of MAC Technicians to ensure high-quality, efficient service while maintaining a safe working environment. The tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of computers/smartphones
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) and interact with customers in a corporate setting
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Knowledgeable or experienced with hand and power tools, dollies and other moving equipment
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a corporate office environment
  • Must be able to lift/push 75 lbs
  • Must be able to walk up to 8 hours a day
  • Onsite daily Monday-Friday, 1st shift
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

  • Experience with office furniture systems preferred, but not necessary

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of MAC Technicians in executing work orders for office moves, workstation reconfigurations, furniture installs, repairs, and more as needed.
  • Plan and coordinate moves with facilities management team
  • Perform site assessments.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and reconfigure office furniture systems.
  • Install items such as shelving, whiteboards, monitor mounts, and other fixtures.
  • Conduct furniture and equipment modifications to meet client requirements.
  • Load and unload trucks, manage staging areas for furniture and equipment, and maintain inventory.
  • Inspect completed work for quality.
  • Enforce and model safety protocols on-site, ensuring all team members follow safety standards.
  • Train, mentor, and develop MAC Technicians — provide performance feedback, teach best practices, and build technical skills.
  • Document work orders, moves, and inventory accurately; maintain detailed records of installations, changes, and assets.
  • Communicate status updates, risks, and project progress to project managers, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment before, during, and after move activities.
