About The Position

What is the opportunity? The Cloud Engineering/Virtualization team is undertaking multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives as part of RBC’s ongoing plan to improve technology management across the organization. As the Lead Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for strategically planning, developing and managing successful implementation of the initiatives across multiple vertical; (Windows, Linux, Virtualization, Middleware, Storage). You will be responsible for coordinating, developing, leading, and executing activities to ensure objectives are accomplished on time. What will you do? Write and maintain code - Create, test, and debug software applications using programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++ Design software solutions - Analyze user requirements and design technical solutions that solve problems efficiently and are scalable Collaborate with teams - Work with other developers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to plan and deliver software projects Review and optimize code - Conduct code reviews, refactor existing code, and improve application performance and security Debug and troubleshoot issues - Identify and fix bugs, resolve technical problems, and provide ongoing support for deployed applications What do you need to succeed? Must-have Strong programming skills in relevant languages and frameworks Problem-solving ability to break down complex challenges into manageable solutions Communication skills to explain technical concepts and collaborate effectively Attention to detail for writing clean, maintainable code Version control knowledge (like Git) for managing code changes Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) Nice-to-have Middleware knowledge Storage knowledge Security best practices knowledge Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Database expertise (SQL and NoSQL) UI/UX design understanding for better user-focused development What’s in it for you? This salary range does not include other elements that comprise our total compensation package, which includes the following: commission sharing eligibility for select roles, a discretionary bonus, a paid time-off plan, our 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, and our health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.
