Lead Floor Care Technician - EVS

About The Position

The Lead EVS Floor Care Technician coordinates with the EVS Supervisor(s) to schedule floorcare projects and prioritize tasks. They confirm that schedules and priorities are shared with the floor care team. The Lead inspects floor care work and verifies quality standards and practices are maintained. They collaborate with the EVS Supervisor(s) to make certain there are adequate supplies for floor care and monitor the equipment for proper maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed. The Lead EVS Floor Care Technician makes sure the Floor Care team provides a welcoming and comforting, first and lasting impression to the community we serve by ensuring a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff of Lake Health District. Duties include all manner of floorcare on a variety of surfaces common to healthcare facilities as well and upholstery and furniture care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • 3yr proof of clean driving record.
  • 2 years previous professional floorcare experience in a healthcare environment, preferred.
  • Capable of performing duties as assigned.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal requests of immediate supervisor.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.
  • Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Floor Care Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with appropriate care for a variety of healthcare flooring types desired.
