We are seeking a Lead Fire Alarm Testing Technician to oversee inspection, testing, and verification of fire alarm and life-safety systems while providing field leadership and project coordination. This role is responsible for leading technicians on-site, ensuring systems are tested to code, maintaining accurate documentation, and serving as the primary technical contact during testing activities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical fire alarm knowledge with the ability to organize crews, communicate with customers and inspectors, and keep projects running on schedule. Fire Alarm Panel Types May Include: Conventional fire alarm panels Addressable and intelligent addressable panels Networked or distributed multi-panel systems Voice evacuation and mass notification systems Releasing control panels tied to fire suppression systems Hybrid fire alarm systems Components Typically Tested: Smoke detectors (spot, duct, specialty detection) Heat detectors Manual pull stations Beam or specialty detection devices Waterflow switches and valve tamper switches Supervisory monitoring devices Horns, strobes, and horn/strobes Speaker and speaker-strobe systems Bells, chimes, and voice evacuation functions Amplifiers and audio messaging equipment Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) Remote annunciators and graphic displays Power supplies, booster panels, and batteries Communication modules (dialer, IP, or cellular transmitters) System Interfaces Elevator recall controls Door holder and magnetic release devices HVAC shutdown interfaces Smoke control and damper controls Sprinkler supervisory integration Generator and auxiliary monitoring inputs
